Hello again!
I was sitting at work today, talking about Indian saris, and my boss Phil mentioned a sari he'd seen that was the colour electric blue. Of course, being an Australian child of the 80s, I started singing Electric Blues. Suddenly my colleagues were strangers; they did not know the words. They did not know the song. And they certainly didn't have a clue who Icehouse was. A thought came into my head: it's time to go home. So this afternoon, Simon and I paid for our flights back to Australia.

I'm not really sure I've got room in my life for another music based website, but lately last.fm radio has been leaving me uninspired. Today I discovered the The Hype Machine and after a week or so of mostly listening to the office radio station of choice1, an afternoon of The Hype Machine's latest tracks has been a welcome relief.

At work I connect my laptop to the network using old-school cat5 cables because there is no wireless available. However, at home I use wireless. Every morning when I get to work I open my MacBook Pro and go to the System Preferences -> Sharing -> Internet to start sharing the internet using AirPort because I like to scrobble the morning's tracks from my iPod Touch before I open iTunes and tuck into the rest of the day's music. It's just part of my morning routine.

It seems a day doesn't go by when I don't discover something new and wonderful on the internet and I'm very excited to be part of it all1. Here are some of the wonderful things I've discovered (or loved) recently:
Ok, so I've known about and used Flickr for a while now, but I love it more and more every day. I'm loving it so much that my stingy arse is considering loosening just enough to let out the US$24.95 required to obtain a year's worth of expanded and enhanced Flickr goodness.
