I just read a couple of really interesting pieces on the Senate competition in this election, which (as it should be) has been receiving much more attention than in some of Australia's elections from recent history.
Over at Larvatus Prodeo Anna Winter has argued that if you're in WA your vote is best spent on the Labor Party in the WA Senate race1. So with the Australian Federal Election coming up, the "new media" seems to be going a little wild. I thought I'd post a bit of a roundup of a few of the political websites I'm keeping an eye on.

Over the past couple of weeks there seem to be a bunch of sites calling themselves election portals or something similar. Overall, the election portal type sites I've seen covering the Aussie election have disappointed.
